Too short!

Agreed. A great topic, but too short.

Good job.

Not informative.

It appears that some of the videos that we have made seem to be a little shorter than you would like. If you could, please use the "Suggest a video" link above and tell us what you would like to see. The videos that we had Grant do were very basic on purpose. They answer the question "What is an index scan?" or "What is a clustered index seek?". Someone new to performance tuning needs the basics and that is what these are for. We are planning a series on how to fix the various performance tuning issues and everyone here will know when they come out via the newsletter.

Hi, Again an excellent video but very short. Topics such as Execution Plans could command a time span of 10-15 mins. I believe 10 - 15 allows time to cover topics in more depth without becoming over burdoned in detail and losing attention.

Very helpful for training purposes

I am sorry everyone thinks these are too short. As Chris said, the intention was to answer a simple question, not provide an extended lesson plan. Believe me, an extended lesson plan is possible on most of these topics.

Short & concise. Excellent Video

probably a little more detail would have been helpful, for instance, comparing the performance of a clustered index seek vs. clustered index scan, etc.

Grant, I really like that your videos are short and targeted. Thanks.
