A follow up showing what the % could be like if, let say, the where clause is added or adjust. That will give a better feel of the degree of improvement as a result of the change.

That's a good idea. I'm pretty sure Andy & Co. are working out mechanisms for us to submit new videos. That would be worth following up.

Very good. Might want to add one about the XML Execution plan and how it suggests an coluns and includes for an index to make the query run faster. Just Caution user not to blindly create the indexes..

I did one on XML, but it doesn't include anything about the missing index hints.

OK, but what is an index scan? The video says it's bad to scan large numbers of rows, but what can we do about it?

Video doesn't explain what an index scan is. It compares it to table scans and some other scan, but doesn't bother to define those either. This (and most) of JumpstartTV's videos are worthless and I will probably stop wasting my time on them.
